||
From Philip Virgo as Development Lead for Neighbourhood Watch in Lambeth
The notice below is a slight rewording on a request from the head of External Relations for the Met Police received this morning = = = The Met Police have published a draft of the second phase of our New Met for London (NMfL 2), the plan for the next three years.
This is the next step in achieving their mission of More Trust, Less Crime and High Standards.
This draft builds on what was set out in 2023, and it reflects both the Met's own analysis and feedback from partners and Londoners.
The aim is to make sure it also reflects the voices of the communities they serve before it is finalised this autumn.
What is in NMfL 2?
The police will maintain their focus on community crime-fighting, culture change and fixing their foundations, while committing to reduce crime, raise standards and improve services for victims and the public. They are also introducing two new priorities:
What has been achieved so far?
But they know they cannot do this alone. The views of Londoners are vital to shaping they we police the capital.
They are asking for views on the draft plan. Please share your feedback here : New Met for London: Phase 2 Survey (Survey takes just 5-10 mins)
The deadline for responses is 14th September 2025.
Please share this consultation with your neighbours to help ensure the plan delivers for London. | ||
